Carlos Robson of Charlotte, North Carolina's Concrete Generation
will be the feature for Phoenix Tongue at The Red Tub 134 1/2 State
St West Columbia SC on April 18, 2007. Carlos never thought he would
be a writer, much less a poet. But as long as he can remember, he's
always wanted to be a storyteller. And since touching his first
spoken word stage in late 2005, he has done exactly that. Competing
in everything from local, regional and international poetry slams.
He represented Charlotte in the 2006 Individual World Poetry Slam,
and again in 2007. Be a part of his "Swing Low" experience
at 9 pm. As always No Cover at This Free Speech Zone.

as well as revolutionary event. Please indicate your primary goal
as a Slammer or Support Team of which include time keeping, score

is slam" faq's
Under no uncertain terms feel that you are not good enough to qualify.
As I said earlier this is an evolutionary process. You have believed
in yourself to the cathartic level of reciting your poetry in front
of an audience, now grow to have your work be performed in an "Olympic"
style event competing with different teams across the country. "The
Points are not the Point, the Point is the Poetry." As a testament
to Slam I would not have been able to commit to being the Founder
of Phoenix Tongue, I did not get my initiation through Poetry Slam.
Please feel invigorated to become a Member of The Phoenix Tongue Slam
Team.
There will be more information given, once The Phoenix Tongue Slam
Team is formed.
To Recap:
Phoenix Tongue Poetry Slam Team try out is at The Red Tub at 9 PM.
Bring your best pieces for this 2 Round Slam.
Come to have fun.
Any Questions Send them to me at

Thank you for your interest and support. See you Wednesday.
