Peace and poetry, everyone.

This is Nyne Elementz, host of The Session, Prysmatic Dreams monthly poetry telecypher. The Session operates like an open mic. In order for this to work, we need to have all the participating poets abide by a few simple and basic rules.

1st - Respect the mic, Respect the mic, Respect the mic!! The mute/unmute button available to everyone is #6 on your telephone keypad. Please use it to mute yourself during the performances and during the brief interviews. When the poets finish performing, you can unmute yourself to show your appreciation for the poem for one minute. Please remember to mute yourself afterwards unless you are the next performing poet!

2nd - Roll Call for poets is between 9:30 and 9:50 pm EST. If you are not there, then another poet will take your place! It's only fair that the available poets get their chance to shine. I do make exceptions for certain phone connection problems that may arise. I'm only being professional and fair!

3rd - For non-featured poets, you have 5 minutes to perform one piece! In the case of haikus, senryu's, or other short poems, you may spit three of those! The feature poet will have 15+ minutes to do his/her thing!

4th - Be professional. You don't know who is listening to you or making the decision of whether or not he wants to book you simply by the quality of your delivery. Mistakes are ok. Just don't act foolish.

5th - Signup time is between the 1st and 2nd Saturday of every month! To sign up, e-mail me @ NyneElementz@gmail.com with Session List in the subject line, along with the following information (so we can help you advertise your stuff):

Stage Name
City of Residence
Groups you represent
Website info
Product Info
Project Info
E-mail address (booking purposes)
Telephone number (Reminder contact)

And lastly, enjoy yourselves @ The Session. This is about poetry, and every last one of you are appreciated. This session is for you to enjoy, too!!

From time to time, I may ask someone to co-host with me. If you'd like to volunteer to be a guest host, get at me. See you at roll call, poets!
